Open Source Festival - Oct. 21-30
New Haven’s art gallery Artspace is set to host the Open Source Art Festival this October 21-30. Open Source is a visual arts festival where Connecticut artists invite the public into their studios or temporary spaces to share their creative process while networking with other artists and art professionals in the New Have area.
This new fall festival is titled In Common Spaces and takes its name from “the idea of Artspace as a shared space for the visual arts to include the collective experience of communion in spaces beyond our gallery walls.” Learn more about the Open Source Festival.
East Rock Brewing Oktoberfest - Oct. 8
No need to travel to Munich for a German-inspired brewery celebration. Join East Rock Brewing, located at 285 Nicoll Street in New Haven, this October 8 for the brewing company’s annual Oktoberfest. Enjoy beer, pretzels and a whole lot of food while listening to live music from Chris and Ronnie Polka Band, along with contests and games.
