Are you ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in Connecticut? While we’re all excited for the fireworks in New Haven this year, be sure to check out Summerfest in Strafford and Madison’s Independence Day Parade too. Here’s a look at how to celebrate July 4th this year in CT.
STRAFFORD SUMMERFEST
This June 29, celebrate Independence Day a little early at Strafford High School Complex from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food trucks will be serving up local food and drinks along with a corn hole tournament and a live performance from Loveland Hill Band.
MADISON INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
Children from across CT will be heading to Madison for the annual Independence Day Parade, an old fashioned parade featuring bikes and local groups, decorated with red, white and blue!
Hosted by The Madison Foundation, join the group and other civic organizations for a parade down to the Surf Club.
NEW HAVEN FIREWORKS
Now for the main event!
Fireworks in New Haven are set for July 4 at 9 p.m. and can be seen from Wilbur High School. However, the city has pointed out that the display will also be viewable from the Angel of Peace and above East Rock Park. Rain date is July 5.
