48TH ANNUAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL – APRIL 24
This April 24 commemorates the 1973 planting of 73 cherry blossom trees by the New Haven Historic Commission in partnership with New Haven’s Parks Department. Featuring live music and entertainment, this festival has a dedicated Children’s Area where arts, crafts, and pet related activities will be set from noon to 4:30 p.m. Learn more at ctvisit.com
CONNECTICUT SHEEP, WOOL, & FIBER FESTIVAL – APRIL 30
A delightful agricultural learning experience for the general public, as well as shepherds and fiber enthusiasts, the Connecticut Sheep, Wool & Fiber Festival is set for April 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Experience demonstrations showing how fiber tools, dyes, finished goods, soaps, herbals, local Connecticut cheese and a variety of other quality items are produced and used my small farms and businesses in greater New Haven. Learn more about the Connecticut Sheep, Wool & Fiber Festival.
SPRING APPLE HUNT! – MAY 14
Just 15 minutes from The Landon, Lyman Orchards has set the date for The Annual Spring Apple Hunt. A tradition celebrated for over 35 years, children as early as 1-3 years old can visit the orchards and pic their own eco-certified apples and even explore a Hay Maze.
